“Every child must know that they are a miracle!  Since the beginning of the world there hasn’t been or until the end of the world,  there will not be another child like them!”

About the Author

Because every Lucy must have an Ethyl, I’ve been blessed to have the best! My friend Cynthia Bowman and I have received countless opportunities to work together. We have provided Creative Consultations for major corporations which have included artwork, videos and promotional items for their customers and websites. We created an international curriculum for teachers to use as a teaching tool for color, techniques and ultimately creating their own original designs. We were asked to publish a book to compliment the curriculum that completely sold out and was reprinted. We have also each had our work published in various local and international magazines and publications.
Art has completely changed my life and given me so much. I have an urgent need to share my love of art and what I have learned with young artists. Following a fire that destroyed my class room, my amazing husband quickly remodeled a motor home garage as the “perfect ART studio”. My student numbers shot up over 400% which confirmed where my focus should be.
I provide my students a foundation of art & design principles at THE ART GARAGE. It has become a positive, safe and creative sharing space for students from 6 to 18! Many of my students have attended weekly classes for over 14 years. I have repeatedly watched the student’s love of art and skill grow along with their self confidence, self acceptance and compassion, and ultimately spill over into other facets of their lives. I continually observe the importance of these children understanding their value and self worth.
My desire and hope is that students will carry these attributes with them to be grounded and confident throughout their lives.
Our focus is beginning with children ages 8 to 12 to encourage them through the prompts with a friend or adult as this will benefit EVERYONE, wherever they are in life.
